You’ll love The Upside Down Museum Penang!

When we last visited Penang we asked the kids what they’d like to do. We had spent the holiday enjoying a wealth of culture. Temples, street art, and food halls were all fantastic. But these kids had heard about the Upside Down Museum Penang and just had to visit! Honestly, we would have missed this if the kids had not been with us. If we had missed it, we would have missed out!

I’m not going to lie, even upon entry I still wasn’t entirely sure what on earth was going on. We were met by a guide to show us around. She showed us how to pose for pictures. The lady most definitely earned her money that day. Imagine a group of 5 Brits and 5 Aussies. We were not a quiet or calm group. Plus 6, out of 10 of us were under 11 at that point. Absolute madness!

We were guided around the museum, posing in different booths set up as scenes and rooms. I still had this odd feeling that I didn’t know what on earth I was doing the whole time. Luckily our guide was so good and knew exactly what we should be doing and where to stand to take the perfect photos. The great thing was that the photos were all taken on our phones. So there are no extra costs for your pictures and you have full control over those pictures.

Visiting the Upside Down Museum is an experience you won’t forget, and it’s a great way to spend an afternoon in Penang. So why not go upside down and explore this unique and creative museum? It’s open daily 9.30 am – 6.30 pm, I’d recommend popping in and getting some great photos. A lot of fun, really unexpectedly for me!

Let me know if you’ve been before.

If you go, have a great time, I’d love to see some photos!
