About Me

As a child, I was lucky enough to go on a sunny holiday every year. My parents always said they never wanted to return to the same place twice as the world is so wide there’s lots to see. My Dad dreamt of visiting Bondi Beach in Australia but sadly never made it. I decided that I needed to visit for him, as soon as I was 18 and old enough to go alone, off I went with one of my friends and our backpacks with a working Visa and made Bondi our first stop.

Although it didn’t go to plan (when does anything?!) this trip fuelled the fire inside me to travel and I spent a lot of my youth travelling Asia and Australia. I even volunteered in Sri Lanka to help with the clean-up efforts after the Boxing Day 2004 Tsunami.

The years went by, and we had kids but didn’t let this stop us. It did slow us down a bit, I am realistic, but we wanted our kids to see lots of this amazing world. They are growing quickly but we still want to explore new places with them and unlike my parents, we do have a few spots that we couldn’t resist returning to!

I am an independent travel agent, travel is my passion. I love working in an industry that fascinates me and allows me to inspire others to travel too.

This is my travel blog for realistic families. Families with mortgages or rent to pay. Families with kids of all ages. Families who don’t have thousands of pounds to drop whenever they want. Families like you.
